On the evening of July 1st, we received our red dot design award for the cardo BK-1 communication system for cyclists, during the red dot 2013 award ceremony in Germany. Cardo CEO, Dr. Abraham Glezerman, was present at the event and very happy to receive the prestigious award.
The red dot product design awards is one of the most internationally acclaimed design competitions and a recognized quality seal. In this year’s competition, the red dot jury received over 4,600 entries but only the very best designs won the award and the cardo BK-1 among them.
Following the award, the cardo BK-1 is now exhibited in the red dot design museum in Essen, Germany for an entire year and is also presented on the red dot online exhibition, red dot yearbook and red dot mobile app.
The cardo BK-1 cycling communication system won the prestigious award owing to its aerodynamic, lightweight and sleek design. The cardo BK-1 was designed especially for cyclists with features such as voice command technology and hovering speakers with excellent audio quality to provide a safe and enjoyable ride. The unit is also waterproof and dustproof and fits virtually all cycling helmets.
